Directions:  Via I-35 North to Hwy 92. Go West on 92 4 mi. to Rt. C.
Go North on C 5 mi. to Rt. W. Go West on W. to Rt. J.
Turn Right on J and go 4.8 mi. to Short Rd., which is opposite 204th St. Follow Short to dead-end.
 
Via 169, go to north side of Smithville and turn onto Rt. W.
Go E. on W. Just before you reach Paradise, turn left on Rt. J and follow directions as above.

Directions: 50 Hwy E. to Warrensburg, then continue E. another 7 mi. to Hwy 23.
Turn South on 23 and go approx. 1 mi. to Rt. DD at Whitman Royal Oaks Golf Course.

If using I-70, exit at Hwy 13, and go S. 15 mi. to Hwy 50, than follow directions as above.

Follow F thru town to Rt. U. Turn right on U, and follow to Rt. A. Turn left on A.
Watch for 1st gravel road on left., and follow it to parking lot and camping area #1.

Directions: Follow direction for Poosey, except that from junction of Hwys 6 & 190, continue E. on Rt. 6 to Rt. 146.
Turn N. on 146 and go to village of Edinburg. At village limit sign, turn Right on NW 52nd Ave.(gravel road) and go approx. 1 - 1 1/2 mi. to intersection with Dove Lane. Turn right on Dove Lane and go approx. 1/4 mi. to parking area. (Note: Dove Lane makes very sharp left hand turn halfway to parking area and there is a small horse ranch on the right.)

First stop light past hwy interchange is Renner Rd.. Turn right on Renner and go up and over I-435 to park entrance on right. Turn left at main building and follow road around to the right to first parking lot on left, Walnut Grove Shelter.

Directions: Take I-435 W. from Grandview Triangle to junction with I-35 in Ks.
Go past I-35 to exit 1B, and take K-10 W. Go W. on K-10 approx.
10 mi. to 1st Desoto exit (Kill Creek Rd.) Exit here and turn South (left) on Kill Creek Rd. and go approx. 2.5 mi. to 115th St. Turn right on 115th and go 1/2 mi. W to Homestead Lane. Turn left and go S to 1st road on the right. (117th St.) Turn right, and go to 1st road on the right. Turn right and follow to parking area.

  Using 169 from the North
Take 169 Hwy S. to Rt. W. on north side of Smithville. Turn left on W and follow to Paradise.(approx 4 mi.)
Turn right on Collins Rd.(by Clyde's Paradise General Store) Go south on Collins Rd. approx. 2 mi. to trailhead.
Road makes sharp turn to left and then immediately back to right. Entrance is at end of right curve.

  Using 169 from the South
Turn right on Hwy 92 and go approx 5 1/2 mi. E. to Rt. E. Turn left on E, and follow to intersection with Collins Rd. Turn right (north) on Collins Rd. and go approx. 1 mi. to trailhead. Entrance is on right just as road starts to make a left hand curve.

 Using I-35
If using I-35, follow Hwy. 92 W. approx. 5 1/2 mi. to Rt. E. Turn right on E, and follow to intersection with Collins Rd. At Collins Rd. intersection, turn right on Collins and follow directions as above for 169 South.

 
Notes:  
 
Directions: Take US Hwy 69 (NOTE: THIS IS 69; NOT 169) S. to the exit with Kansas Hwy. 152.
Exit off to the right, and turn left back under 69. Go short distance to Valley Rd. (There is a manufactured home business on NE corner) Turn left on Valley Rd. and go N. approx 1 mi. to park entrance on right. Go thru entrance and go straight ahead, even though the blacktop turns left onto a grave road. It may seem like the road goes into the lake, but you will turn right into parking area before that.
