person shall assist the exhibitor as needed. The ring person shall collect and turn in the
judges’ score cards to the scorekeeper.
CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE
The Board of Directors of the Mid America Fox Trotting Horse Association has the right
to discipline members, contestants, and spectators who: 1) do not follow the rules,
regulations and bylaws of the MAFTHA, and 2) demonstrate unsportsmanlike conduct.
Disciplinary actions include, but are not limited to, expulsion or suspension from current
and/or future MAFTHA shows and/or assessment of a fine which will be donated to a
youth scholarship fund
GRIEVANCES
Any grievance should be formally presented to the Board of Directors. Under no
circumstances should a judge be contacted by an exhibitor or owner during the course of
the show or on the show grounds.
PROTESTS
Any party protesting another party’s compliance with MAFTHA or MFTHBA
regulations will be required to put forth a non-refundable protest fee of $100.00 paid in
cash. Protester must be a current paid member of MAFTHA. Grounds for protest must be
in writing and signed by protesting party. Protester must then submit the fee and written
complaint to the highest ranking MAFTHA official (President, Vice-President, or
Secretary) within 60 minutes of the class or incident protested. Horses under protest must
remain on the show grounds for 60 minutes while under investigation by show officials.
The protest in question will be reviewed at the end of the evenings’ show by MAFTHA
board members who are present.
