Donnie and Monica (Nichols) Daugherty

Daugherty Stables is owned by Donnie and Monica (Nichols) Daugherty. Together they raise, train, and show Missouri Fox Trotters and raise Toy Australian Shepherds.

Donnie Daugherty has been a top professional trainer in the MFTHBA for many years now. He has won numerous shows and titles including the National Breeders Championship (NAB), Mid-America, Two and Three Year Old Futurity championships, championships at the Show and Celebration and many others. He started out his show career riding Zane's Black Meg. Some of his other mounts you might remember were Yankee's Hanky Panky, Top Secret, She's Fantastic, and the most recent Big Whiskey. Donnie has won back to back World Grand Championships in the open division on Big Whiskey in 2010 and 2011.

Monica Nichols Daugherty graduated from SBU School of Nursing and is now a nurse at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. Monica has shown for many years and has been very successful in youth, amateur and ladies classes. She started her show career on M&M's Miss Yankee. Some of her other mounts were: The Outlaw Queen, Secrets Of A Queen, Goodtime's First Pearl and also Big Whiskey. In 2010 she rode Big Whiskey to the 2010 NAB Amateur 2 Year Old Championship.
