{"id":2393,"date":"2012-12-21T20:17:13","date_gmt":"2012-12-22T02:17:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mofoxtrot.com\/viewpoint\/?p=2393"},"modified":"2012-12-22T20:25:19","modified_gmt":"2012-12-23T02:25:19","slug":"copper-family","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mofoxtrot.com\/viewpoint\/copper-family\/","title":{"rendered":"Copper Family"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t know where it came from. \u00a0It&#8217;s been mine for years now. \u00a0I don&#8217;t remember growing up with a copper kettle, but then my grandmother died after I left home. \u00a0I believe that it came to my house upon the death of my mother.<\/p>\n<p>It is a beautiful copper tea kettle. \u00a0I thought of it as a beautiful antique. \u00a0My mother died in 2007, some five years ago. \u00a0Yesterday, I had an amazing thought. What if it were a real tea kettle that my grandparents used?<\/p>\n<p>I decided to put water in it. \u00a0When I poured the water out, it was clear. \u00a0No dirt; No ugly stuff. The water was clear. \u00a0I rinsed it out a couple more times and decided it was time to put it to the test. \u00a0I filled it up and put it on the stove. \u00a0A nice odor of burned metal faintly filled the kitchen. \u00a0About 5 minutes, the kettle was singing so loud, I wondered if the the entire town of Pleasant Hill could hear it. \u00a0The kettle has a fine hearty tone.\u00a0My grandparents are singing through the tea kettle. \u00a0I can hear them talking and laughing.<\/p>\n<p>I now have a working copper tea kettle. \u00a0I love it!
