Those park police laughed at me falling off my bike. \u00a0I had blood running down my leg. \u00a0They laughed. Maybe they laughed at the thought I couldn&#8217;t get out of the park on the long side. \u00a0Maybe they laughed because a curvy woman fell off her bike. \u00a0Good GAD!<\/p>\n<p>I probably peddled home at nearly 50 mph in my rage. \u00a0I thought about how I could pedal up the other side of the park road. \u00a0By now I had been devouring bike magazine ads. \u00a0I have found all the gadgets. \u00a0I have even bought some of them at the lucky bike store. \u00a0Why is the bike store lucky, you ask? \u00a0Because my addiction means I visit the store and spend money!<\/p>\n<p>I have discovered the answer on my rage filled home ride. \u00a0I stomp into the house and corner my poor unsuspecting spouse. \u00a0I yell the story of the laughing park police at him. \u00a0I tell him that I need these special pedals and special shoes. \u00a0The bike accessory inventors came up with special shoes that attach themselves to special pedals. \u00a0Normal pedals are powered by the down push of one&#8217;s legs. \u00a0If your foot is attached to the pedal, you get 50% more power. \u00a0You have pulling force when you bring your leg up to make those bike wheels move. \u00a0&#8220;That&#8217;s what I need!&#8221; I yelled. \u00a0There was no argument in my husband. \u00a0He didn&#8217;t care if I attached my feet to the pedal or not. \u00a0He tried to show sympathy about me forgetting to apply to brakes when I stopped. \u00a0I can imagine thrill he was experiencing picturing his &#8220;crazy wife&#8221; story to his guy co-workers. \u00a0Oh I know he couldn&#8217;t wait to go to work the next day.<\/p>\n<p>They know my name at the bike store now. \u00a0I appeared and told the owner of my rage and what I needed. \u00a0We picked out my special shoes. \u00a0He kept my bike to install the special pedals. \u00a0&#8220;Vengeance would be mine!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I picked up my vengeance yellow bike the next day. \u00a0We came home and practiced. \u00a0I learned there is a bit of an art to being attached to one&#8217;s pedals.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Twist the foot to the side to get loose<\/li>\n<li>Twist the foot to the side before you dismount from the bike<\/li>\n<li>It is possible to free both feet at the same time<\/li>\n<li>Bike riders always put the same foot down on the ground when first dismounting. \u00a0Make certain that is the foot that is twisted loose from the pedal<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Like I said, there are a few rules to follow when riding with attached pedals. \u00a0No problem. \u00a0I mastered all of them and no blood was spilled. \u00a0I was ready for action!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RED HOT OUTRAGE! \u00a0FLAMING HATRED! \u00a0DEATH THOUGHTS to those park police. \u00a0I am stunned. \u00a0I am a thin and beautiful person in my mind.
