{"id":2823,"date":"2013-12-16T21:06:35","date_gmt":"2013-12-17T03:06:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mofoxtrot.com\/viewpoint\/?p=2823"},"modified":"2013-12-16T21:11:05","modified_gmt":"2013-12-17T03:11:05","slug":"life-bike-twelve-the-end-and-beginning-of-passions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mofoxtrot.com\/viewpoint\/life-bike-twelve-the-end-and-beginning-of-passions\/","title":{"rendered":"Life Bike Twelve &#8211; The End and Beginning of Passions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After RAGBRAI in July was the MS 150 in Kansas City. \u00a0I did it again. \u00a0After experiencing RAGBRAI and the fun times in all the towns, MS 150 was, well, dull. \u00a0No matter because I had moved to the country. \u00a0I visited Roberta in the country with her horse. \u00a0I came back home and told my husband we had to move to the country. \u00a0Grumpily, he said we could look at country homes.<\/p>\n<p>We drove down the driveway of the only country home advertised in the newspaper on that day. \u00a0It was magic. \u00a0The house at unattached garage were blue. \u00a0Both the spouse and I were overcome by the beauty of the property and the color blue. \u00a0We bought it and moved.<\/p>\n<p>Life with the bike became a lot more complex. \u00a0I now lived at the end of a mile long gravel road. \u00a0Roads in my town were blacktop with no shoulders. \u00a0The next summer I bought two horses. \u00a0It became tough to ride my bike and play with my horses. \u00a0My bike riding times decreased. \u00a0I was still out there trying, but not as much. \u00a0The passion had to be shared with the living creatures, the horses.<\/p>\n<p>I participated in a bike ride across Missouri. \u00a0My hours of getting into shape had decreased and I started getting sick as we were nearing Columbia, Mo. \u00a0I had made it from Kansas City to near Columbia. Sadly, the sag wagon was called for me. \u00a0I called my husband and about three hours later, I was on my way home. That was the end of the bike riding passion and the flowering of the horse riding passion. \u00a0The beginning horse riding passion has been made into a book awaiting some forty eight year old actress and movie maker\u2026 \u00a0The book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=susan+foxtrotter\">Susan FoxTrotter<\/a>, is paperback in Amazon and also a Kindle book.<\/p>\n<p>PS: \u00a0I&#8217;m retired now and have taken old yellow to a bike shop (New Town Bike and Coffee Shop) to be regenerated into a working bike again. \u00a0We&#8217;ve got part of the Katy Trail in my town\u2026 \u00a0This might not be the true end of the bike story!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After RAGBRAI in July was the MS 150 in Kansas City. \u00a0I did it again. \u00a0After experiencing RAGBRAI and the fun times in all the towns, MS 150 was, well, dull. \u00a0No matter because I had moved to the country. \u00a0I visited Roberta in the country with her horse. \u00a0I came back home and told my husband we had to move to the country. \u00a0Grumpily, he said we could look at country homes.
