Emma runs around and comes bounding to me for a pet and a treat.  It\u2019s going great!  I stroll by Lake Robin.  Emma goes down the short bank.  I think \u201cOh that\u2019s nice, she\u2019ll get a drink.<br \/>\nSPLAT!  SPLASH!<br \/>\nI look and Emma had leaped into the water.  Her legs are submerged.  Her belly is in the water!  It\u2019s 36 degrees!<br \/>\nI scream EMMA!  Emma looks around like she has entered into a different world.  She has no idea that a dog body can be in a lake!<br \/>\nI scream and run to her.  I yell, \u201cEmma, Emma, Emma!\u201d<br \/>\nEmma comes back into the present and starts moving toward the bank.  Her back leg tries to lift out of the water, like she is wearing a boot.  She manages to walk to the dirt and heaves herself up on dry land again.<br \/>\nI\u2019m worried that she will freeze to death in the next minute.<br \/>\nI run to the house with Emma and Sulley.<br \/>\nShe lived!<br \/>\nI recovered from my Emma heart attack as I dried her off.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought most of the Emma excitement stories were winding to an end, but I was wrong.
