Here’s my terrible confession.\u00a0 I am writing this blog just to publish some recent pictures of Powder. Don’t worry, I have more from this great Sunday Fall afternoon.\u00a0 You’ll get to see all of them, eventually.<\/p>\n

It’s my blog.\u00a0 I can do whatever I want!\u00a0 See how my eyebrows match her hair.\u00a0 If I want, I can have half my hair match Powder, but I would never admit that to anyone!\u00a0 Let’s just leave it at my eyebrows for now.\u00a0 I love it when my horse and I match!<\/p>\n

Powder and I are heavy into training now.\u00a0 It occured to me to think about the phases of pressure\u00a0that I use to ask her to do things.\u00a0 Occasionally, my pressure phase has to get a\u00a0little high to convince her to do these things. The thinking is that you use enough pressure to get the slightest movement and “the release” from pressure\u00a0is what teaches.\u00a0 When the pressure gets too high, Powder thinks about kicking me.\u00a0 She will go right up into a high pressure phase when it suites her.\u00a0 Her first pressure is the\u00a0movement of\u00a0her head, the next is ears back and then immediately her\u00a0highest pressure is a swift kick.\u00a0 These phases\u00a0happen in about 3 seconds.<\/p>\n

My job is to try not to go there and if it does happen, not to\u00a0be there!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
