I saddled Fancy and did the mandatory circling and three time saddle tightening. \u00a0The rules are canter or jump and tighten cinch three separate times. \u00a0It usually takes me 4 tighten actions.<\/p>\n
Using the trailer fender, I mounted Fancy and we took off down the driveway. \u00a0We were moving forward. \u00a0We made it to the front gate and stalled. \u00a0(It had been two days and the water puddles were all but gone.) \u00a0Fancy was not scared of water puddles.<\/p>\n
I flicked the reins on her backside and Fancy moved forward. \u00a0We were on the road and moving. \u00a0Hope blossomed in my heart. \u00a0Fancy kept moving. \u00a0My heart was singing and Fancy was traveling. \u00a0We made it halfway up the gravel rode.<\/p>\n
I decided to give Fancy a \u201crelease\u201d. \u00a0I had her turn around and we gaited back home. \u00a0I got off, took off the saddle and turned her out to pasture. \u00a0I fed the horses. \u00a0This was Fancy\u2019s reward for doing what I asked for. \u00a0This was my release.<\/p>\n
Fancy! \u00a0Do you see how much easier our life can be if you don\u2019t argue?<\/p>\n
Perhaps it was good to have the puddles dried up too.<\/p>\n
