{"id":7668,"date":"2022-01-04T21:27:42","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T03:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mofoxtrot.com\/viewpoint\/?p=7668"},"modified":"2022-01-23T19:25:03","modified_gmt":"2022-01-24T01:25:03","slug":"hitch-in-the-get-along","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mofoxtrot.com\/viewpoint\/hitch-in-the-get-along\/","title":{"rendered":"Hitch in the Get-Along"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week at the group lesson, Fancy appeared to have a problem cantering to the right. \u00a0We did one flying lead change, left to right and stopped there.<\/p>\n<p>We had another lesson today and again, Fancy had problem cantering to the right. \u00a0She acted like she wanted to switch over to the left lead and did a little canter hop. \u00a0She seemed to want to canter on the left lead.<\/p>\n<p>Erin was suspicious. \u00a0She had not felt this the hitch the time she rode and wanted to feel the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Well, bless my spurs. \u00a0Erin couldn&#8217;t feel any problem. \u00a0She actually did two flying lead changes which caused me to scream in astoundment!<\/p>\n<p>The verdict: \u00a0Fancy is not having a problem. \u00a0She is just trying to slow down and not canter. \u00a0You can ride her again and tell her she is not fooling you anymore about wanting to slow down.<\/p>\n<p>By Golly! \u00a0I rode Fancy again and our right lead canter was fabulous! \u00a0Good Lordy!<\/p>\n<p>Fancy has a chiropractic and acupuncture appointment soon with Dr Randy.
