Whirlwind\u2019s Golden Tenor is my horse, ridden by Sharon Sheppard. My son is an opera singer, thus the name, Tenor. Tenor\u2019s sire was the Whirlwind, the black horse used many years at the Celebration to honor those who died that year. I bought Tenor from Teresa Osborn when he was a weanling because I didn\u2019t have enough horses\u2026haha. When he was young, I had visitors from Florida, clients of Tony and Jenny. Tenor had the run of my yard then. The visitors came and we sat down on hay bales in the barn. Tenor wandered in and laid down at the man\u2019s feet. Wow! Two years later, that man\u2019s horse died, so I gave him Tenor. Tenor was trained under Jenny and Tony Vaught\u2019s tutaledge. He was also a lesson horse at their stable. Things happened and the owner gave him back to me. He was delivered from Florida to my house. Jenny Vaught rode him last year in the Celebration and he won Reserve World Grand Champion Versatility and World Grand Champion Ranch Horse. Tenor is a celebrity!<\/p>\n
