Loose Horse! OMG It’s Fancy

River bed Sand is the best arena footing and rolling

Quite an exciting first day of Dave Ellis Parelli Natural Horsemanship Clinic

Dave Ellis stuffed is to the max with knowledge the first morning. We were astounded and blown away. The arena footing is river bed sand, one of the best footings you can have in an arena. I brushed Fancy off before we started attaining our ground development knowledge from the Master, Dave Ellis. Fancy loves attention and river bed sand. I didn’t count the number of times that first morning where she proved her love of river bed sand. Look at that perfect grooming job I did with Fancy before the clinic started. She decorated her body in a more vivid manner!

The next highlight was lunch. Apryl and I put Fancy and JR in their adjoining stalls. Fancy was not happy, but she will survive. I had just finished my food when the announcement was made. There is a horse loose. Everyone rose as one. As I was standing up, I saw the horse run by a gate. Oh God. It is Fancy! She pushed her gate open. The gate I closed put the chain thru the round slot and fastened. Yes, that gate. Fancy was running up and down by the Sitter Downs herd. Everyone was excited! Horse and humans were excited. Fancy stuck her tail out like horses do when they get excited. Someone mentioned that she will run through the fence. I said “Fancy won’t do that.” I wondered how the heck we were going to catch this excited horse.

I called out “Fancy.” She looked at me. With her tail straight out, head up and prancing, Fancy pranced over to me. The Sitter Downs herd was right beside her, across the fence.

That is a certified magic moment! There are witnesses. She ran to me when she was nervous and scared. I am her protection.

Unbelievable.
