Mind Reading

Fancy and I had a session with Lydia Hiby on 7/21/2020. I met Lydia long ago at a Kansas City horse festival event sponsored by John Lyons. Lydia had a booth and grabbed my attention when I walked by I wondered, what the heck. I was in my early years of learning horsemanship on Sage. I don’t remember much about that conversation except that I asked Lydia to apologize to Sage as she suffered from my beginner rider errors. Sage answered, “Don’t think that. You have taken care of me; fed me; groomed me and saw to my health. It is me who thanks you.” That was stunning. I told Lydia about young Velvet thinking Sage loved Velvet. Her answer was again stunning. Sage did not love Velvet. Velvet was irritating. Wow! Then Lydia spoke to Velvet. Velvet probably wasn’t started yet. All I remember about what Velvet said was that her favorite color was red.

In the years since that amazing encounter with Lydia that made me a believer in animal communication, two horses have spoke to me. Words came into my brain.

I had a flat tire when on the road with JR. I pulled into a Walmart store tire center. It was very noisy with flapping flags and the sound of machine tools inside the shop. JR’s words came into my my mind, “Is this where I am to die?” At the time I had no idea where that thought had come from. Only the words form in your mind. I don’t see pictures, just thoughts.

Another horse spoke to me. I was driving back to Kansas City from my home town in Iowa. My friend Teresa had a baby colt that she couldn’t come up with a name. So, I decided to run through the alphabet and think about names. Of course I pictured him as I was trying out names. I had seen him. I was on a name when suddenly words came into my mind. “That’s it! I like this name!” I was shocked beyond shock. I relayed this information to Teresa and that became his name. He never spoke to me again.

After my heart horse Cisco died, I woke up with a vision of Cisco. White fluff clouds surrounded Cisco’s head. Cisco was looking at something ahead and was in happy awe at what he was seeing. His expression was”Wondrous”. Cisco was entering horse heaven was his message to me.

I know animal communication is real.

Fast forward to Fancy. I watched a zoom session where Lydia was a guest. I decided to look into Lydia communicating with my blazing wildfire star, Fancy.

“Where are you located. What are we going to do, dog, horse, cat monkey, lemur,
I said “horse”.
“What is the animal’s barn name or call name?” Fancy. I’ve talked to boy and girl Fancy’s What is your Fancy? Girl
“Oh good! How old is she?” I replied, “six.”
Lydia asked. “How have you had her?” I’ve had her for three years.
What kind of horse is she and color? (I smirked inside at my answer about her color.) She is a Missouri Fox Trotter and she is champagne. “Oh! champagne! Any facial markings? I answered she has cream eyes. Her pupils are dark blue and there is green around the pupils. “Oh how beautiful, Lydia said. I also said her back legs which have some white above her hoofs.
Is she on your property or a public or private barn? Fancy is at my property right now.

Suddenly, Lydia’s voice changed and laughed. “She said she’s home for vaca! “She just told me that she is on vaca. Yea, it’s been a vaca and it’s awesome. Were you planning to bring her before the covid or you did you do it for the covid? I replied, “No, I bring her home every now and then for a true vacation because I ride her every day and she needs a break. Lydia said,”If you’re so aware, do you know about lotto numbers? Fancy replied,”I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Lydia said, “I figured I would try and you wouldn’t have to work so hard!” Fancy said, “I’m on my vaca!”

Pause for background information. Fancy lives at a stable. She works hard nearly every day of the week when I ride or play with her on the ground. Every now and then I realize she needs a vacation. I don’t think I’ve ever said this outloud to anyone. I only think this in my mind. Fancy needs a vacation. When she comes home, she gets to be a pasture horse full time with her herd, Delta, the boss and Sweetie, who is bossed around by Fancy. For Lydia to report what Fancy said about VACA, caused me to have a near shock heart attack. I told Lydia that Fancy boards at a training stable but lives there as a boarder.

Lydia said, “She’s so cute, and now she’s started modeling for me, like she walked down one way and said, “Don’t I look good from this prospective?” And she turned around and said, “Don’t I look good from this prospective? I am modest, I just wanted to show you.” Lydia answered, “Oh, OK while chuckling.

Lydia stated, “This is unusual, most mares never want to be pregnant, only because it takes so dang long. But Fancy asked, “Do you want me to have a baby?” Lydia asked me, ‘Is that something that is important to you?” I answered, “No, when she goes into heat, heat makes her back hurt, her ovaries grow too big her follicles grow too big. Now she is on Regu-mate, which stops it. And that is one of my questions, Does she feel better?” Lydia reported, “Immediately Fancy answered YES!” Lydia talked about spaying.

Lydia told Fancy, I think your mom is OK about you not having a baby. Fancy responded, “Well, I just figured I’d offer that up if she needs me to. I’m a planner and mom is a planner too. We like to have things organized.” “Good Lord,” I interjected. Lydia reported that the painful ovary is on the left side.

Fancy said, “I have to be careful of my waistline because I can put it on pretty easily” She showed Lydia a picture of her walking your place. “I need a little exercise.”

Lydia stated, Fancy is also very playful if you wanted to do some liberty with her and she would love that. “Oh yes”, I stated. Lydia asked me if I ever want to do parades with her? I cautiously answered, “I will when one comes up.”

“Has she been on the Regular-mate very long,” Lydia asked. She has been on it about two months and there has been a remarkable change in her, I answered. Oh, OK, Lydia said The other thing we can look into is Silver Lining herbs . com. They have a liver cleanse #27. and the liver is like your trash truck. So it deals with inflammation and infections. going back to the ovary thing. And she also said before she came to you, when she was a yearling and the water had a lot of extra iron and she feels a little toxic and still feels a little toxic. If you are to go touch at the liver acupuncture point she might react past the last rib in the flank area. That kind of confirms to me that her liver is out of balance.

Note: Fancy has reacted there when I brush her. I called this her loin pain.

Lydia went on, “Now that she is on the Regu-mate, you should be able to give the a liver cleanse. It comes in a foil pouch. Fancy spoke up, “What are you going to give me (with a little sass tone)?” Lydia answered her, “Well your mom will show it to you and let you smell it and give it to you.” Lydia explained to me, “The liver turns on the first five minutes of excitement which could be feed time or riding time, The liver is worse at 5:00 in the evening. You can do both the Regu-mate and liver cleaning at the same time.

Lydia went on to the next subject, Lydia asked me about detoxifying. Is she on well water or city water? I answered, she drinks out of a lake. Lydia said surely you offer other water. Lydia asked if I ever had it tested, I went no. Lydia told me that this water is the not best for her over a long period of time. I explained that Fancy is home often, only 3-4 days over a period of a month or so. I explained that Fancy lives at a training stable full time. Lydia gave me the name of a product that will remove city water additives. I will get this and give her a bucket of clean water when I visit the stable. Either way, Lydia stated, she needs some kind of detoxifying.

Lydia asked about the rest of her life and started out with the saddle. Fancy replied, it’s very pretty but I want more concho’s for my bridle. I stated that I have a new fancy bridle for her and she will get to see it and try it on tomorrow.

Lydia asked, When you purchased her, did you have any dreams or specific things in mind? I replied that I was a Parelli student and the Levels program was my goal. I explained that I had passed the old Level 3 test long ago and now that they made Level 4, Fancy and I are going for that. In Level 4 we have to do flying lead changes; she is a gaited horse and flying changes are difficult. Lydia agreed, “I understand that.” And that was one of my questions I went on, “What could I do better to get the flying lead changes?” The trainer can do flying lead changes. Lydia asked, “Who is your trainer here? I’ll need to know her name when I place her that person on her. I replied Erin Patterson. Lydia asked if Erin was male or female. Lydia commented, Erin’s energy is very balanced and Fancy chimed in, “I like her too! She’s great!” Lydia asked, “What does Erin help you with when you do flying changes. Fancy replied, “She just knows I can do it and and all of a sudden, I’m doing it. There’s no thought.

Lydia counseled me. Do like the sport stars do like famous baseball pitchers or Tiger Woods. They sit and relive their best swing of pitch. They practice the move while sitting in a chair. Keep replaying the times you did it before you go to sleep; when you wake up. Then there will be no block when you actually do it. Your skills are up there, girl. You’re not giving her the wrong cues!

Fancy must have been tired of this conversation and chimed in, “Remember, I want more concho’s on my bridle!” That brought up another question from me, “What does she think about her new bit. Lydia answered she seems to have a thick tongue but has no complaint about the bit.

Lydia went back to the water again. Get a Horse Hydrator, which is a plastic filter to put it on the hose where she is getting her water.

Everything else is way under control according to Lydia.

Anything else? Her diet checked out. Ok, we wrote down the sparkly stuff and Fancy spoke, “I would like some watermelon.” (I don’t know that Fancy has ever had watermelon or even knew watermelon existed, but a fourth of a watermelon is now waiting in the refrigerator for her.) I asked Lydia to tell her that cows with Tony and Jenny are coming in the future. Lydia said her whole demeanor changed into a that of serious highly trained cutting horse. “Let me at them. Hold on to the saddle horn and let me go!”

I’m to give Fancy a hug from Lydia.
