Open Reserve Ranch Horse World Grand Champion – Fancy

What did Tony say this past winter?  “If you let me keep Fancy all summer, I’ll win the Ranch Horse World Grand Champion.”

He did!  Guess who got the World Grand Championship Ranch Horse and Versatility garlands?  My name is on her registration too!  Jenny beat out Tony for the garland because her horse has been trained for many a more years AND had the perfect start to her life under my stewardship and the Vaught’s training that started her life out right!  Half sisters won the World Grand Champion titles!

Nova and Fancy took home the ribbons!  The ranch horse classes involving cows are so very exciting.  Nova and Fancy made the spectators cheer!

I was stunned when four year old Fancy won the Ranch Horse Conformation class.  A four year old isn’t fully formed yet, like a seven or eight year old horse that has been rode correctly and nicely muscled up.  Later during the week, I got to ask the judge what he looks for in the conformation class.  He replied, “I look for a very strong trail horse.”  Wow!  Fancy has got the “IT Factor”.

Even more stunning is Tony’s win when you consider:

  • He rode with a light weight Bolo
  • He had a horse that did not have the colt start that she needed.  She had to be untrained and then trained.

I realize the depth of Tony’s training as I am starting to ride Fancy.  We have not yet connected in my desire to have a happy riding partner.
